Socially driven professional designer in training?

Are you a socially driven professional designer in training?

The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) has announced the briefs for their 2010/11 Student Design Awards . Started as an industrial bursaries scheme in the 1920s, the RSA Student Design Awards challenge design students apply their skills to difficult contemporary social issues.

Brief titles include:

Make something disappear
My favourite subject
Double-duty devices
Conflict resolution
Modern age
Giving and getting
Postage stamps
Action for age

Participation in the Awards is open to both current undergraduate and postgraduate students and to those who graduated in summer 2010. The deadline for submission of entry forms, fees and work is the 17th of February 2011.
